Butoh Workshop with Natsu Nakajima

In December, MT Space and Inter Arts Matrix held our first co-coordinated professional development workshop. Eight artists spent an inspiring week working with Vancouver clown artist David Smith of Fantastic Space Enterprises.

The idea is to offer a context where we can train together to explore and grow our craft outside of the pressure to produce work, led by a facilitator who will help us expand and develop our creative vocabulary. 

We are planning a second professional development workshop March 16 – 18, 2012 with Japanese Butoh artist Natsu Nakajima. We would like to get a sense of the level of interest in this workshop. The workshops are subsidized by MT Space and IAM to keep the cost at an affordable rate for individual artists. The cost for company artists is $100 (anyone who has worked as performers with MT Space). The cost for non-company artists is $150.
