Ashley Judd-Rifkin

Ashley Judd-Rifkin

Ashley has been actively and enthusiastically involved in the arts for her entire life, as a performer, administrator and audience member. Her parents are founding members of the physical theatre company Theatre Beyond Words and Ashley grew up touring the world with them. (An often-told family legend has her learning how to walk backstage in Japan.)

Since graduating from Carleton University with a degree in English and History in 2005, Ashley has worked as an artist liaison, grant writer and administrator with the Ottawa International Children’s Festival, the Ottawa International Jazz Festival and Odyssey Theatre. She is also a classically trained pianist and has been a vocalist, guitarist and keyboardist in several rock bands of varying quality and longevity. From her experiences, Ashley has developed a belief in the importance of offering people the opportunity to engage with performing arts and has seen firsthand how theatre arts can bridge the gap between people and cultures.

Ashley is the General Manager of MT Space.
